Wallpaper of the week! #2

LittleBIGPlanet is a semi-new release for the PS3. This game has far exceeded my expectations. I cannot describe how great this game really is to play, hear and see. From a gamer’s point of view, I feel it is easily my favorite side-scroller since Super Mario Bros.

From a designer’s point of view, I am thrilled. The game incorporates an almost flawless user interface that is very fun & easy to use. The level design is brilliant & the characters are just plain rad.
The heads behind LittleBigPlanet is the game developer Media Molecule.

The music of LittleBigPlanet is awesome. The game includes such artists as:
DJ Krush — ‘Song 2
Cafe Tacuba — ‘Volver A Comenzar
Kinky — ‘Cornman
Battles — ‘Atlas
The Go! Team — ‘Get it Together
Jim Noir — ‘My Patch
Alexander Nevsky Op.78 — ‘Battle On The Ice
James Pants — ‘Rhythm Trax 7
Toumani Diabate’s Symmetric Orchestra — ‘Tapha Niang
Noveltones — ‘Left Bank Two
Ananda Shankar — ‘Dancing Drums
and more…

Daniel Pemberton, composer of numerous television and film scores since the late 90’s, is responsible for a few tracks including the intro. Daniel released an album you can purchase on iTunes called LittleBIGMusic. While many of the tracks included are to be found in the title, other artistes contributed to the extensive selection in the game.

Last but not least, a tasty wallpaper for your enjoyment!

Bombshell Salon — Gift Certificates

Some gift certificates I made for a local hair salon called the “Bombshell”. The idea was to keep it retro and grungy without spending too much time on a free design. This was acomplished by using a simple circles with a dirty textured paper overlayed. The stickers are lame I know, but hey.

The wonderful logo was designed by Ariel Hitchcock.

Mmmm, cookies

Heading to my parents in Hayden Lake to decorate the xmas tree has always been a tradition. My step-mom Loretta is quite good at keeping up those traditions, including starting a few new ones. The grandkids always get to ice the christmas-cookies, and this year I made it out early enough to partake in the fun!
